Martha Stewart Crafts Studio ~ Glitter Butterflies Card Class

Here are a few samples of the cards I made using one of Martha Stewart's Craft Studio Class Kits (purchased at Michaels Arts & Crafts Store) which teaches some fun easy glittering techniques....and what gal doesn't like glitter?! I love glitter...it's a fun medium to spruce up any card. :)

The kit includes everything needed to create the cards pictured here except for the dry tape adhesive. Plenty of glitter is left over for future projects.....5 vials of fine glitter and 1 vial of gorgeous blue tinsel glitter.

This was one of the most favorite card classes I taught at Michaels Arts & Crafts Store this month. I didn't design the cards pictured here, I made these cards following the directions inside the box. The cards were designed by Martha Stewart.

It's really hard to see how beautiful the glitter on these cards looks unless you could see them in person....the glue that comes in this card kit is equivilant to Elmers White Glue which holds the glitter in place without a lot of loose glitter after the glue dries.
Thanks for stopping in here at my Paper Creations Den...I hope you found something to inspire new ideas for your next creative project....scrapbooking, cardmaking or any other papercraft you're thinking of making.

Die Cut Blog Hop Challenge~Note Cards with Martha Stewart Edge Punch

Getting started...
card stock cut, scored, folded & punched
A lot of detail work went into the creation of these cards. I used die cuts made by Close To My Heart. There's a lot of layering of different flower shapes along with embellishing with glitter glue and Liquid Glass ( I love, love, LOVE Liquid Glass!!!!) Most of the flower die cuts also have ink pad distressing to give them dimension under the clear Liquid Glass.
I used Martha Stewart's 'Double Loop' Around-the-Page punch for the straight edge to give the cards a feminine touch....and then I also ink distressed the punched edge to highlight the punched loops.

Fighting Childhood Cancer with creativity

Hosting a scrapbooking event at Michael's Arts & Crafts store for teenage girls battling cancer.
We're partnering with the Medical University of SC Childrens Hospital.

I really wish I could share all of the girls' happy faces crafting away.....cutting paper and making their precious memory scrapbooks but due to their privacy and HIPPA regulations I'm unable to show the true joy this event is for them....but do know that they are loving every minute. :)

Hosting this event was one of the most fulfilling days I have experienced in a very long time. These young ladies are inspiring with their emotional strength and love of life on a daily basis. I was blessed to be a part of this ....... teaching the art of scrapbooking family memories.

Today I decided to start making cards for the upcoming holidays. This particular card creation is pretty quick to make & would be a GREAT design for a newbie card creater. All of the products & supplies used for this project are from Close To My Heart:
 ~ Pear (green) cardstock
 ~ Cranberry (red) cardstock
 ~ White Daisy cardstock
 ~ Cranberry ink pad

The stamp sets are a couple of my favorites.... I have always liked using holly images in my art work and for decorating. The set also has images of doves, another truly favorite stamping image of mine. There's also a wreath image that I used to create a cute pocket card that I will post when I add the finishing touches.

Thank you for dropping in here to see my card creations and, hopefully, you've seen something to inspire you to create a beautiful card of your own.

Your thoughts & comment are greatly appreciated.

Lady Bug Note Card Gift Set ~ Hand Stamped

Close up of one of the note cards

I made these hand stamped note cards for a friend; she wanted something with a lady bug design to put into a basket of Mary Kay products she was making for one of her clients. I also made a gift box with a clear acetate lid to hold the cards. Her basket looked fabulous....what a great idea!

I liked this set so much that I made another set to sell on Etsy. All stamp images are from Close to My Heart; the only products used that aren't CTMH are the ladybug ribbon and the red Stickles glitter which are both from Michaels Arts & Crafts Store.

~ Embellished with bright green ribbon decorated w/red ladybugs
~ Hand stamped green flourishs on front of note card
~ A stamped ladybug image highlights the front of each card as well as on the inside of note card
~ a CTMH white crochet flower (with added glitter) centered on the front with lady bug ribbon & bright green CTMH crocheted fibers
~ Envelope also has a hand stamped green flourish in the corner with the stamped & red hand colored ladybug to match note card.

Thanks for stopping in here at my Paper Creations Den. If you have a chance to click on the 'thoughts' link below to let me know you've stopped in I could then follow your link to take a peek at what you have going on. So Very HAPPY ~ Here's a Blog Signature Tutorial

I just found the most wonderful tutorial showing me how to add a signature to my blog posts! I am sooo excited about this....don't laugh....I really really am excited. :)

I've been wanting to add a signature for the LONGEST time but didn't know how to do it. So many of my scrapbooking and cardmaking friends have the cutest signatures at the end of their posts and now, just maybe, now I'll be able to add a nice personal flare with my signature too. I'm totally thrilled...visit  The Cutest Blog On the Block signature tutorial if you'd like to learn how.

....a HUGE thank you to everyone at The Cutest Blog on the Block for sharing their knowledge and for making this papercrafter a happy happy gal. :)

Woooooo Hoooooo ........ :)

Handmade Cards Using Martha Stewart Punch & Heat Embossing

Cards we'll be making in my Card Club group
I'm an instructor at Michaels Arts & Craft Store. I teach the scrapbooking and card classes. The picture above shows the cards I made to display at Michaels, showing the students what they will create.
Everyone will learn a few different techniques....heat embossing, paper tearing, ink distressing, random stamping, scissor distressing and using a paper punch.
The paper punch we'll be using is Martha Stewart's 'Punch Around the Page' Double Loops, but we'll only use the straight paper punch in the set to create the feminine edge on one of the light pink cards.
I really love the CTMH stamp set (Find Your Style #D1492) I used for the images...one of my new favorites. :)
Thank you so much for stopping in...hope my creations inspired some ideas for you. Again, thanks for visiting my Paper Creations Den. :)

A lot has happened......

.....I owe all of my blogging friends an explanation.....sorry I've been MIA without posting any creations for way too long.
My son was involved in a house fire in December. His house caught on fire around his fireplace in the wee early hours of the morning. To make a long story short, my son caught on fire, was critically burned and transported by helicopter to a burn unit. My son fought very hard to recover from his burns but lost his life after 30 days in the burn unit ICU.
I have been struggling to be creative .... I am getting better every day. Cutting paper, stamping images, laying out ideas for cards and scrapbook pages is starting to be the perfect therapy for me.
I will be posting and sharing my creations later on this week....that's my promise to all of you. I am also planning to post teaching tutorials in the future. I also have been creating handmade cards & albums for customers & craft fairs. A few of my long distance/online card customers will place an order and supply me with an address for me to mail it for them.
I have been meditating, praying and healing since my son's death. I apologize to you all for being absent. I promise to be making & mailing cards, creating scrapbook layouts, and sharing with you here on my blog.
Thank you for stopping in....thank you for understanding.
