Handmade Cards Using Martha Stewart Punch & Heat Embossing

Cards we'll be making in my Card Club group
I'm an instructor at Michaels Arts & Craft Store. I teach the scrapbooking and card classes. The picture above shows the cards I made to display at Michaels, showing the students what they will create.
Everyone will learn a few different techniques....heat embossing, paper tearing, ink distressing, random stamping, scissor distressing and using a paper punch.
The paper punch we'll be using is Martha Stewart's 'Punch Around the Page' Double Loops, but we'll only use the straight paper punch in the set to create the feminine edge on one of the light pink cards.
I really love the CTMH stamp set (Find Your Style #D1492) I used for the images...one of my new favorites. :)
Thank you so much for stopping in...hope my creations inspired some ideas for you. Again, thanks for visiting my Paper Creations Den. :)

Scrapbook LayOut Workshop for Ladies' Night Out

Here's a fun 12 x 12 scrapbook page lay out that I designed for one of my workshops. I love this paper pak!! It's super versatile...girl or boy, grown ups or children.

X7092B   Good Times Level 2 paper pak
Z2111     Chocolate Ink Pad
Z2160     Twilight Ink Pad
Z2153    Sweet Leaf Ink Pad
D1258    Friendship Word Puzzle acrylic stamp
D1288    June Word Puzzle acrylic stamp

Here's a close up showing the Buttercup Yellow Spiral Clip with the color coordinated Sassy Strands. We also used a Sponge Dauber to apply Chocolate Ink along the edges of each piece of cardstock where a picture can be attached -OR- where some journaling could be displayed.
We used the wonder Close To My Heart edge distresser to give depth to the layout as well as show off the white core paper.

This picture displays the random stamping we did using 2 different colors of inks and 2 different words from the Friendship Word Puzzle acrylic stamp set. I love, love, LOVE random stamping! We also applied Chocolate ink around the perimeter of the 12 x 12 base page.

Thank you for stopping in here at My Scrappin' & Stampin' Den to look at my 12 x 12 page lay out. I would love to read a comment left by you so I know that you've been here and so I can also visit your blog.
Now....it's time for me to create another project & get some more ink on my fingers....Please drop in again soon.  :-)

Close to My Heart BLOG HOP ~~ SEPT '09 Stamp of the Month

First of all....Thank you for dropping in at My Scrappin' & Stampin' Den.

I am thrilled to be part of the CTMH (Close To My Heart) SOTM(stamp of the month) blog hop My grandson's birthday 12x12 scrapbook page lay out using "Tinkerin' Level 2" paper packet feature August's stamp of the month.
I used the "Treasures" (D1375) September SOTM along with Close To My Heart's "Summer Carnival Sassy Strands".. I love using Sassy Strands..they're available in lots of different colors & textures.

I did the ROLLING TECHNIQUE to get 2 of the ink colors on this sentiment.

To incorporate all 3 ink colors, I did RANDOM STAMPING of one of the stamp sets images along with FIRST, SECOND, & THIRD GENERATION STAMPING on the base pages.

Here are the supplies I used ......
-- D1111111 My Acrylix clear stamps "Sept stamp"
-- Z2113 Exclusive Ink Pad "Clover Meadow" color
-- Z2152 Exclusive Ink Pad "Sunny Yellow" color
