Die Cut Blog Hop Challenge~Note Cards with Martha Stewart Edge Punch

Getting started...
card stock cut, scored, folded & punched
A lot of detail work went into the creation of these cards. I used die cuts made by Close To My Heart. There's a lot of layering of different flower shapes along with embellishing with glitter glue and Liquid Glass ( I love, love, LOVE Liquid Glass!!!!) Most of the flower die cuts also have ink pad distressing to give them dimension under the clear Liquid Glass.
I used Martha Stewart's 'Double Loop' Around-the-Page punch for the straight edge to give the cards a feminine touch....and then I also ink distressed the punched edge to highlight the punched loops.

All supplies and paper used are from Close To My Heart except for the edge punch. Thank you so much for stopping in.....sharing the creations I make in My Creations Den is on my list of favorite things to do.
Hope you saw something to inspire you...I would love to know your thoughts and would greatly appreciate a quick comment.

~ Handmade Red, Green & White Christmas Holiday Card ~

Today I decided to start making cards for the upcoming holidays. This particular card creation is pretty quick to make & would be a GREAT design for a newbie card creater. I get a lot of card ideas from scrapbook pages I've created; page layouts are perfect inspirations to get those creative juices flowing! ;)

All of the products & supplies used for this project are from Close To My Heart:
 ~ Pear (green) cardstock
 ~ Cranberry (red) cardstock
 ~ White Daisy cardstock
 ~ Cranberry ink pad
 ~ Pear ink pad
~ Designer Holiday Ribbon Rounds Cranberry & White 1/8" ribbon - retired CTMH
~ Festive Thoughts acrylic stamp set - retired CTMH
~ Festive Frills acrylic stamp set - retired CTMH

The stamp sets are a couple of my favorites.... I have always liked using holly images in my art work and for decorating. The set also has images of doves, another truly favorite stamping image of mine. There's also a wreath image that I used to create a cute pocket card that I will post when I add the finishing touches.

Thank you for dropping in here to see my card creations and, hopefully, you've seen something to inspire you to create a beautiful card of your own.

Your thoughts & comment are greatly appreciated.

6x6 Close To My Heart accordian album for Dog Lovers - You Rock paper pak

When I sit down to start creating 'something' I never know where my imagination will take me. I started out with a plan to make a frilly, girly card using all blue hues with flowers and florishes...but this 6x6 dog-lover's accordian album is what I ended up making! CTMH's goldrush and outdoor denim is a far cry from what I mentally started out to make..too funny...does anyone else do that? I really would love to know.

Anyways.....
Here are some pictures of my most recent creation. Thanks for taking a look and thanks in advance for your thoughts and comments left for me....I like knowing that you've stopped in so I can visit your blog. :-)

I did the scissor distressing technique on the edges of most of the white core cardstock. I love Close To My Heart's cardstock...LOVE IT!!
The paper tearing technique was used on most of the patterned CTMH B&T papers.

I hope you enjoyed your visit to My Scrappin' & Stampin' Den and maybe I even inspired an idea or two. Thanks for looking. I would love to read a comment left by you...comments actually charge my creative battery and motivates me to create more for you to see.
Again....thanks for dropping in here and taking a look around.
I need to get busy cutting paper and get some ink on my fingers....time for me to create!!

Z2160     Twilight Ink Pad
Z2153    Sweet Leaf Ink Pad
D1258    Friendship Word Puzzle acrylic stamp

Here's a close up showing the Buttercup Yellow Spiral Clip with the color coordinated Sassy Strands. We also used a Sponge Dauber to apply Chocolate Ink along the edges of each piece of cardstock where a picture can be attached -OR- where some journaling could be displayed.
We used the wonder Close To My Heart edge distresser to give depth to the layout as well as show off the white core paper.

"All-Sorts" Mini Album ~ Jingle Paper Pak & October '09 Stamp of the Month

Here's a fun Christmas mini album that would be a wonderful, personalized gift for someone or to keep for yourself.

One of the pages has a pocket that holds 4 tags made to display a picture and a small area for some descriptive journaling.

This is Close To My Heart's acrylic Stamp Of The Month. It has 11 images to stamp!! It's called "Holiday Warmth" #D1376.

Pictured here are the Level 1(X7115A), Level 2(X7115B), & My Stickease(X7115C) matching stickers.

Front cover of the "All-Sorts" mini album showing the tearing technique, liquid glass creating the ornaments hanging on the tree. There is also Prisma Glitter used on the stamped tree.

The following pictures show the different pages, techniques, and embellishments.

The festive, non-traditional colors combined with the fun patterns on the paper all co-ordinate together along with the acrylic stamp images.

Notice the white core of the paper and the texture that the drops of liquid glass on the paper pattern. The scissor distressing of the white-core card stock gives this album depth and texture.

This is the back of the album.

I appreciate all of your comments and thoughts of the "All-Sorts" mini album. If you would like to purchase the kit to make this beautiful mini album please contact me
at the email address posted on this blog.
Thank you so much for stopping in at My Scrappin' & Stampin' Den.
